More Info
Our South African A-Grade beef is imported chilled—never previously frozen—and the strips are prepared in-house.
Topside is naturally lean, so these strips are at their best when cooked quickly. Longer cooking can make the meat firm or dry. Their even, slender shape makes them ideal for high-heat cooking. Use them in stir-fries, fajitas, wraps, crispy chilli beef or simple beef and vegetable dishes.
Sold in increments of approximately 250g. As they are cut by hand, their exact thickness and length may vary slightly.
Serving Ideas
- Stir-frying: Heat a wok or frying pan until very hot. Cook the beef in small batches so that it sears instead of steaming.
- Fajitas: Season or marinate briefly, then cook over high heat with sliced peppers and onions.
- Crispy beef: Coat the strips lightly before frying, then combine with your preferred sauce immediately before serving.
- Marinating: A short marinade can add seasoning and help protect this lean cut during cooking. Avoid highly acidic marinades for extended periods.
- Resting: Allow the cooked strips to rest briefly before combining them with a sauce or serving.
For the best texture, avoid overcrowding the pan and do not overcook.
Serve with rice, noodles, tortillas, stir-fried vegetables or salad.
