The Butcher Block – Returns & Refunds Policy

At The Butcher Block, we pride ourselves on premium, fresh meat and want every customer to be happy with their purchase. This is our quality guarantee - if you are not completely satisfied with any of our products, please tell us and we will work with you to resolve this to your satisfaction.

For all meat and perishable items either delivered to your address or purchased in-store, please inspect your purchase immediately. Report any concerns within 48 hours to be eligible for a credit refund or replacement.

1. Our Credit-Back Guarantee

In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your order in any way, please let us know within 48 hours from the date of your purchase in-store; or 48 hours from the time your order has been delivered for online orders.

If you are genuinely unhappy with the quality of a product you have received, we will offer a refund in full - in the form of store credit - or a replacement free of charge. This guarantee applies only to products purchased directly from The Butcher Block (in-store or online).

Please call or WhatsApp us on +230 5972 8702 or email orders@butcherblock.mu as soon as possible, and we'll do our best to rectify any problems as quickly as we can. 

If products are defective or damaged in some way, they may at our discretion, need to be returned to The Butcher Block. If this is the case, we must ensure this happens by the Use By Date of the items. If they are indeed found to be faulty or defective, we will provide either a replacement or a full refund in store credit, and in either case this will include delivery costs.

2. How to Make a Return

In-Store: Bring the product and proof of purchase to the counter within 48 hours of your purchase. Our staff will inspect the product and handle the refund or replacement.

Online: Contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We may request photos or ask that the product be returned to the shop for inspection.

3. Storage & Handling

Our meat and other products, whether fresh or frozen, must be stored according to safe refrigeration or freezing instructions. We cannot accept responsibility for products that have gone off due to improper storage, handling, or extended delays in consumption after delivery.

4. Refund Process

  • Refunds will be issued in store credit only.
  • Replacement products can only be offered if stock allows.
  • All returns are assessed case by case to ensure fairness.

CHANGES TO REFUND AND RETURN POLICY
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of this Refund and Return Policy by posting updates and changes to our Site. It is your responsibility to check our Site periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to our Site or the Services following the posting of any changes to this Refund and Return Policy constitutes acceptance of those changes.
