Our Chutney Beef Biltong begins with premium A-Grade beef marinated in a peachy chutney sauce before being hung to dry. The result is still unmistakably biltong, with a distinct chutney flavour and a sweeter finish than our traditional seasoning.
Product Info
We prepare and air-dry this biltong in-house. The chutney marinade gives it its characteristic sweetness, while the drying process develops the familiar texture of beef biltong.
Individual pieces naturally vary in texture, fat content and appearance. If you have a preference for leaner, fattier, softer or drier biltong, leave a note at checkout. We will do our best to accommodate it, subject to availability.
Storing & Preserving
Keep biltong away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. If supplied in a paper bag, allow it to breathe and enjoy it within a few days. Take particular care with opened packs in Mauritius’s humid conditions.
If you will not eat it soon, ask us about vacuum packing for longer keeping or freezing. Follow the storage advice and date on your packaging.
